Can this be used on RPG Maker VX (not Ace)?

I don’t have VX (no-Ace) but I did researched around few years ago – The “basically” answer is no. The detailed answer is no because they use different coding language to use between VX and VX Ace, or something like that; the difference between those versions… In fact, they both are treated as different version, not like “brother/sister”… More like different blood-family if you know what I mean?
